Research: applied for CASA, Humane Studies, AUC and worked on the essays for other applications; had to take a leading role in getting my language evaluations done (can explain); sent Irfan the materials for 6 of my 12 or so applications; got transcripts in order; read "Women, Politics, and Change" by Karen Ross, "Avenues of Participation" by Diane Singerman, and "Women, Politics and Power by Paxton/Hughes; arranged for a language interview for the CASA application, arranged my independent study with Margaret Mills and applied to APSA. Classwork: averaged studying Arabic about 3 hours a week. Other: managed to get poison sumac in Louisiana. read "down the nile" by Rosemary Mahoney and "outliers" by M. Gladwell.
